Details

‘PocketPOD’ is a handheld software application which fills the gap long left empty by paper based manual recording with a cost effective productive and practical mobile solution. This mobile solution can be integrated with many existing Back Office applications and be deployed on existing compatible windows mobile handheld or Smartphone devices (with or without integrated Barcode readers).

As a result,
'PocketPOD' becomes a single point of recording and data entry, there-by reducing overall costs, duplication and replication which can otherwise introduce unwanted errors into the process.

There are many existing Back Office applications in the average SME or Enterprise business operations today which can be integrated with
‘PocketPOD’, for example:

  • Epos Management Systems Like Retail Systems, Retail Solutions, Point Of Sale and Point Of Service etc.
  • Accounting Systems like Sage, Quickbooks, MyOBTake5 etc.
  • Database Systems like Oracle, MSAccess, MSSQL Server etc.
  • Spreadsheet Systems like MSExcel, OpenOffice.Org, Lotus etc.

These do not by nature include a mobile delivery docketing and sale force invoicing or cash receipt signature capture printing solution. These types of solutions are normally found in bespoke logistical delivery or field workforce custom developments.

However, there are many progressive small to medium business’s and larger enterprises who provide their own customer based delivery or sales services based on paper based systems that have until now been over looked.

The real flexibility of
'PocketPOD' is its ability to:

  • Move invoicing to the point of delivery
  • Deploy onto many of existing mobile devices or handhelds
  • Integrate with a wide range of Back Office Applications
  • Integrate with Barcode scanners or readers (if required)
  • Provides for mobile printing of ‘Delivery’ and ‘Sales', dockets, invoices or receipts (if required)
  • Capture customers signature upon receipt of delivery (Requires a Touch Screen compatible device)
  • Communicate the delivery details including signature back to the Back Office applications
  • Transmit data over a wireless LAN (optional) or cabled connection back to a Back Office Server or basic Desktop PC via MSActive Sync
  • Deliver the captured data and signature with delivery details in a form that can be available to all LAN / WAN and mobile users in an organisation.

PocketPOD - Now that is real flexibility!
